Some comments from participants of the workshop on 16th Aug

Our topic on 16th August was on: EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION WITH PARENTS & PEERS

"Overall, this discussion is quite interesting. A lot of good points raised. However, I still do not have the confidence to confide in my parents....."

"....topics discussed are close to your lives. However, I would prefer summarised notes...."

"....could have it longer, but if so, a little break (is needed)"

"a rather interesting topic to talk about, nevertheless, I think we should voice our thoughts to make the talk more interesting."

"I know more on how to communicate with my parents. But sometimes it is just that they won't understand and not that I refuse to share it"

"Communication is an important aspect of our lvies, so the workshop was very helpful. It gave me a chance to widen my views on the topic and think about it in a way that I've never done before."

1st workshop

We just completed the first OTG workshop! We had a cosy number and the feedback given by the participants were very constructive and we will certainly use the ideas as much as possible in the months to come.

We are still learning what 15-19 year olds will enjoy in such a workshop environment, and one of the interesting ideas was to do a camp over the school holidays. We will definitely take this into consideration.

So stay tuned! And any feedback is welcomed.

Motivate!

I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our circumstances.
